Ahead of the joint session of Congress on January 6 to affirm the votes of the Electoral College, the bipartisan National Council on Election Integrity — a group of more than 40 former elected officials, former Cabinet secretaries, retired military officials, and civic leaders — has launched a new $150,000 digital ad buy urging Congress to “honor the will of the people.”

This new digital ad buy includes takeovers of the Washington Post and Politico homepages on Monday and Tuesday.

“It’s not complicated. America has spoken. Congress must honor the will of the people,” reads the new statement from the bipartisan National Council on Election Integrity that is being promoted in the new digital ads.

“We urge every member of Congress to do their duty and honor the results of the Electoral College on January 6. The political grandstanding by a small number of members about the outcome of the 2020 election must stop,” the statement being promoted by the new ads continues. “It’s time to turn the page and get to work on our nation’s most pressing challenges. It’s time to put the country first.”

Since the beginning of October, the National Council on Election Integrity has spent more than $10 million on TV and digital ads to help ensure every American’s vote was counted and to reassure American voters that the election was safe, secure, and transparent.

Congress: America has spoken. Honor the will of the people

It’s not complicated.

America has spoken. Congress must honor the will of the people.

The people have voted in record numbers in the most secure election in modern history. The Electoral College cast their ballots. Joe Biden is the president-elect and Kamala Harris is vice president-elect. Our great democratic process worked. Now Congress must accept the results.

We are Republicans and Democrats serving on the National Council on Election Integrity, a bipartisan group formed to ensure a safe, secure, and fair election.

We urge every member of Congress to do their duty and honor the results of the Electoral College on January 6.

The political grandstanding by a small number of members about the outcome of the 2020 election must stop.

The baseless allegations about the election have been repeatedly rejected by experts and the courts. Such claims only damage our republic and put America at risk.

It’s time to turn the page and get to work on our nation’s most pressing challenges.

It’s time to put the country first.
