Claire Woodall

Senior Advisor, Faces of Democracy

Claire Woodall has over a decade of election administration experience in a pivotal swing state. She was the Executive Director of the City of Milwaukee Election Commission from July 2020 through May of 2024. Prior to becoming director, she was with the Election Commission for eight years in a voter services role where she was a visible advocate and educator for voting rights. Claire was born and raised in Birmingham, AL and attributes her passion for voting to her upbringing in the South by history-loving parents who instilled the importance of equity, inclusion, and representation in her from a young age, especially given the local history of the Civil Rights Movement. Claire holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and a Certified Public Manager (CPM) certification from the University of Wisconsin. She finds comfort in chaos, as evidenced by raising two young boys, three rescued dogs, a cat, and a gecko with her husband in Milwaukee, WI.
