Since joining Issue One in 2018, Elise has led a variety of federal legislative reform efforts for Issue One including updating the Electoral Count Act of 1887, strengthening protections for election officials, increasing federal election funding, and reforming congressional stock trading rules. She also served as the deputy to Issue One’s Count Every Vote campaign anchored by the bipartisan National Council on Election Integrity which countered efforts to sow doubt in the 2020 presidential election. She was named a Top Grassroots Lobbyist by The Hill in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Elise is a Wisconsin native and graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and lives in Washington, DC. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, hiking with her dog, and studying history.
