Janice Zhong

Communications and Research Intern


Janice Zhong joined Issue One as a communications and research intern in June 2022. She is a recent graduate of the University of California, Irvine, who earned a double major in international relations and criminology. At UCI, Janice served as the deputy elections commissioner, and she participated in Greek life as a member of Pi Beta Phi. Her previous work experience includes interning with the U.S. embassy in Pakistan, Alight (formerly known as the American Refugee Committee), and The Counterterrorism Group, a private intelligence firm, where she documented and analyzed global terrorist organizations. In the fall, she is planning to attend graduate school at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, where she’ll focus her studies on online disinformation.
