Virtual Panel with Faces of Democracy Election Officials

Current and former bipartisan election officials from across the country, all of whom are members of Issue One’s Faces of Democracy campaign, recently headed to Washington, DC to meet with members of Congress and the Administration. Their mission? To demand ample resources to administer elections and protect election officials.

Over 25 election officials, ranging from secretaries of state to county clerks, met Members of Congress, the White House, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Justice. This three-day event put election officials in the spotlight, allowing them to share their needs directly with influential policymakers.

After their experience in DC, we invite you to hear directly from our Faces members themselves! At our virtual panel, Cisco Aguilar (Nevada Secretary of State, Democrat), Dustin Czarny (Election Commissioner, Onondaga County, NY, Democrat), and Tonya Wichman (Board of Elections, Defiance County, OH, Republican) discussed what they heard in the halls of Congress, talked about their experiences and needs, and how they are preparing for the 2024 elections.
