“Any form of violence in American politics is unacceptable,” NCEI co-chairs say following apparent shooting at Trump rally

In response to today’s shooting involving former President Trump at a political rally in Pennsylvania, the co-chairs of Issue One’s bipartisan National Council on Election Integrity (NCEI) — Reps. Barbara Comstock (R-VA), Donna Edwards (D-MD), Amb. Tim Roemer (D-IN), and Zach Wamp (R-TN) — released the following statement:

“Any form of violence in American politics is unacceptable. We must all commit to resolving our differences through peaceful and nonviolent means. Our prayers are with the former president and all innocent victims of this disgraceful act.”
