The National Council on Election Integrity — a bipartisan group of more than 40 government, political, and civic leaders brought together by crosspartisan political reform group Issue One — today announced it will spend another $500,000 on TV and digital ads ahead of Election Day.
“This new ad buy elevates the critical message that every vote will be counted in November, regardless of whom voters support this year or how people cast their ballots,” said National Council on Election Integrity spokesman Michael Beckel. “Amid the coronavirus pandemic, voters have multiple options to vote safely and securely, from in-person voting to absentee ballots. People can trust state and local election officials to do their jobs and count every vote.”
This new ad buy brings the total the National Council on Election Integrity has spent on TV and digital ads to $4.5 million since the beginning in October. Ads on both platforms highlight the country’s ability to hold safe and secure elections during the coronavirus pandemic and urge viewers to join the National Council on Election Integrity in demanding that all citizens’ votes be counted this November, regardless of whom they vote for, by taking a pledge at CountEveryVote.org.
TV ads have been airing nationally on CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC, including in Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Washington, DC. Digital ads are running in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Washington, DC.
“Americans have always found a way to vote and make their voices heard,” states the TV ad, which debuted earlier this month. “Help make sure every vote is counted — no matter who you voted for … While this election might feel different, we all call America home.”
