Issue One remembers the life of former President Jimmy Carter

Today, on this National Day of Mourning in remembrance of the life and legacy of former President Jimmy Carter, Issue One’s Founder and CEO Nick Penniman released the following statement:

In the years following his departure from the Oval Office, he remained a compassionate and stoic advocate for peace, self-government, and human dignity — a mission that our friends at the Carter Center have adamantly and reliably advanced for more than 40 years. His example of working to defend democracy and alleviate human suffering is a gift that we will cherish and carry forward.”
