‘May the peaceful transfer of power always be our unshakable standard,’ Issue One says following certification of 2024 election results

Following today’s joint session of Congress to certify the 2024 presidential election results, Issue One’s CEO and Founder Nick Penniman released the following statement:

“Congress and the vice president followed the law today to affirm the will of the people and certify the results of the 2024 presidential election.

“This bipartisan process is, at the most basic level, an essential commitment to American democracy. May we never again experience attacks on the constitutional processes of our great nation and may the peaceful transfer of power always be our unshakable standard.”
