Tina Peters sentencing ‘should send a message that messing with America’s elections isn’t a game’

Following today’s sentencing of Tina Peters, who was convicted in August by a jury of her peers for her actions to undermine the will of the people, Issue One released the following statement from CEO and Founder Nick Penniman:
“Election lies often lead to attempts to sabotage election systems or harass election workers. Such is the case with Tina Peters. It’s good that she’s being held accountable. Today’s sentencing should send a message to other potential saboteurs that messing with America’s elections isn’t a game, and that law enforcement is watching.”
