“Violence has no place in our communities and must be rejected,” Issue One says following Charlie Kirk shooting

In response to today’s shooting of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University, Issue One Founder and CEO Nick Penniman released the following statement:

“We unequivocally condemn today’s shooting of Charlie Kirk. Violence has no place in our communities and must be rejected whenever it occurs.

“This incident is another reminder of the troubling rise in violence and political polarization in America that threatens people’s ability to live, learn, and participate safely in public life. We must begin to see each other as neighbors again and treat each other — and our differences — with tolerance and civility. And we must confront this growing threat with the urgency of a national crisis.”
