Ella Charlesworth

Ella Charlesworth joined Issue One as the National Campaigns Manager in 2025. She oversees the ReFormers Caucus and Faces of Democracy councils, supports the creation and implementation of advocacy campaigns to advance Issue One’s legislative and policy agenda, and spearheads strategic engagement for protecting fair elections and election workers. She focuses on grasstops organizing to bring together policy experts, former elected officials, and other influential voices to advance Issue One’s pro-democracy mission.

Prior to Issue One, Ella worked in the Office of the CEO at AmeriCorps and in the Office of Vice President Kamala Harris at the White House. She has experience in communications, relationship management, and event planning across federal government, higher education, and nonprofit sectors. A graduate of St. Lawrence University, Ella earned her Bachelor of Arts in sociology and mobilized young people around reproductive health and voting. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, live music, and spending time by water.
