Georgia Lyon
Communications Associate
Georgia Lyon is a nonprofit communications professional who has used her passion for writing to promote social justice and equity. As a teenager, she wrote and illustrated, ”How to Be Human: Diary of an Autistic Girl,” about growing up as an autistic person, allowing the children’s book company, Creston Books, to publish this book under the pen name Florida Frenz. Since then, she has held several positions at D.C. nongovernmental organizations that look at how the findings of policy research can be conveyed clearly to mobilize change, focusing primarily on U.S. democracy and climate. She is an alumna of Whitman College, where she graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in politics.
