Jesper Sullivan den Bergh

Jesper joined Issue One in February of 2024. Before joining the team, he spent two years on the Hill and two years in Northern Virginia politics. Some of Jesper’s priority issue areas are: accessible mental health resources, protecting democracy at home and abroad, and supporting schools. Jesper earned his B.A. in Policy Studies from Syracuse University and his M.A. in International Security from George Mason University.

His issue areas are focused around election infrastructure appropriations and any legislation aimed at protecting the safety of frontline election workers. He has drafted an analysis of the federal framework of the Help America Vote Act and maintains active connections with stakeholders on the Hill. Additionally he supports fellow legislative team members on tech reform and modernization issues as needed.
