Megan O’Halloran
Strategic Operations Lead

As the Strategic Operations Lead at Issue One, Megan is responsible for ensuring cross-team alignment, robust systems, and strategic planning across the organization’s teams. The subject areas she oversees include constitutional defense, technology reform, election protection, and government accountability. Megan plays a key role in translating organizational goals into actionable priorities — managing workflows, designing cross-functional planning tools, and ensuring operational clarity.
As a bridge between strategy and execution, Megan coordinates major initiatives, supports multi-stakeholder coalitions, and helps drive high-impact convenings that advance Issue One’s bipartisan reform agenda. She first joined Issue One in July 2023 as a consultant and became a full-time team member in September 2024.
Prior to Issue One, Megan worked as a freelancer in the responsible technology and information integrity space, contributing to projects within Arclet (a health communications start-up), the Center for Humane Technology, the Brown Information Futures Lab, and several local health departments across North Carolina. In 2022, she served as an English Teaching Assistant in Madrid.
Megan is passionate about creating a healthier digital information environment that supports a shared understanding and connection within society. She graduated summa cum laude with honors from Western Carolina University with a dual Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Spanish, and a minor in Communications.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, exploring the outdoors, experimenting with fun and healthy recipes in the kitchen, and adventuring abroad through solo travel.
