Megan O’Halloran

Megan O’Halloran supports the Tech Reform team with systems management, coalition building, event planning, and partner relations. She first crossed paths with Issue One in July 2023 as a consultant and in September 2024, she transitioned to a full-time team member in her role as a Technology Reform Associate.

Prior to Issue One, Megan was a freelancer for various organizations in the responsible technology space, including Arclet, a health communications start-up, the Center for Humane Technology, and the Brown Information Futures Lab. In 2022, she served as an English Teaching Assistant in Madrid.

Megan is passionate about minimizing disinformation and harmful features on social media platforms to deepen shared understanding and human connection. Megan graduated summa cum laude with honors from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies, Spanish, and Communications.

In life outside of work, Megan enjoys solo traveling, whipping up fun healthy recipes, working on her salsa skills, and spending quality time with friends and family.
