Issue One updates
We’re excited to announce that on Thursday, November 5, Issue One will publicly launch the ReFormers Caucus, a bipartisan group of former governors and members of Congress working to solve America’s governing crisis by standing for solutions to reduce the influence of money in politics.
We’ll be taking to the Capitol to bring this powerful group together, where some of the ReFormers will speak about their experience running for office and how cities and states across the country can implement effective reforms to empower citizens everywhere. The official launch of the ReFormers will be at the Capitol Visitors Center, Room 268, at 3 PM.
The politically-diverse ReFormers Caucus is filled with some of the nation’s most influential leaders, including Amb. Tim Roemer (D-IN), Gov. Jon Huntsman (R-UT), Sec. Chuck Hagel (R-NE), Sen. Bill Bradley (D-NJ), Rep. Leon Panetta (D-CA), Sen. Alan Simpson (R-WY) and Gov. Christine Todd Whitman (R-NJ). These former elected officials bring with them a wealth of experience and a hunger for sustainable reforms to one of the nation’s most pressing problems.
We’d love to have as many people as possible present at our launch. You can RSVP for the event here.
