Sign-on letters
The ReFormers Caucus of more than 100 former members of Congress and governors is bringing greater attention and purpose to money-in-politics reform. That’s why they’re reaching out to debate moderators and pushing them to ask the critical question: what specifically will candidates do to ensure our government is truly of, by and for the people?
“The presidential debates are some of the best tools voters have to learn about the candidates’ positions,” the letter signed by all 116 members states. “We urge you to require all the candidates to articulate their vision for reform.”
The ReFormers are also taking this message directly to the candidates themselves by “asking them to release a plan that lays out exactly how they will solve our governing crisis.”
This work aligns with the Caucus’ goal to elevate and transform the debate around campaign finance reform to a proactive discussion around solutions, and to make 2016 a watershed election for this issue.
