Rubio calling War Powers Resolution “unconstitutional” is a blatant lie

In response to Secretary of State Marco Rubio claiming yesterday that the 1973 War Powers Resolution is “unconstitutional, 100%,” Issue One Vice President of Advocacy Alix Fraser offered the following statement:

“Secretary of State Marco Rubio calling the War Powers Resolution ‘unconstitutional’ is a blatant lie. It is completely absurd and self-serving. The President and his administration cannot determine which laws from Congress are constitutional — only the Supreme Court can. The Trump administration must follow the War Powers Resolution, and if it refuses to, Congress must check its abuses of power.”
