Election Protection and Money in Politics Intern
Caroline Pirrone joined Issue One in September 2025 as an Election Protection and Money in Politics Intern. She is a senior at American University, pursuing her bachelor’s in political science with a minor in international relations. She is especially interested in foreign policy, specifically international development, as well as increasing civic engagement both globally and domestically. Caroline previously interned at the U.S. Senate and most recently worked abroad in Brussels, Belgium at a public policy consulting firm. She serves as the Outreach Director for American University’s voting rights and voter equity club, Voters of AU, and works for the Project on Civic Dialogue at her school.
