Christianna Golden Rodriguez
Legislative Manager
Christianna Golden Rodriguez is a policy strategist and constitutional defense advocate at Issue One, where she works to advance reforms that restore Congress’s institutional authority under Article I of the Constitution. Her portfolio focuses on strengthening democratic institutions by mobilizing bipartisan voices to denounce abuse of power and call for renewed congressional oversight, building a stronger democracy reform movement to prevent undue influence and corruption and reinforcing separation of powers, all to defend the rule of law.
Christianna’s work centers on key structural reforms including congressional war power and enforcement of Congress’s power of the purse. These efforts are part of Issue One’s broader Article I initiative, which seeks to modernize Congress’s role in areas where decades of executive expansion have eroded legislative authority.
Before joining Issue One, Christianna built a career at the intersection of law, policy, and public service. She has worked on legislative strategy and policy development in the Massachusetts State Senate, where she was named Legislative Staffer of the Year in 2024 by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council. Her work includes drafting bipartisan legislation such as the Federal Workers and Service Member Civil Relief Act, protecting federal employees and service members from eviction during federal government shutdowns and An Act Protecting Access to Justice, requiring judicial warrants for civil arrests made inside of courthouses in Massachusetts. Christianna also contributed to initiatives addressing access to justice, housing stability, and criminal record reform. In addition to her policy work, she has served as a leader in legal education and civic engagement, advising mock trial programs and contributing to efforts that expand legal access for underserved communities.
Christianna also serves as a Major in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, bringing a leadership perspective shaped by military service and a deep commitment to constitutional governance and democratic institutions.
She earned her law degree from New England Law | Boston where she earned a certificate in criminal practice and procedure and a deepened interest in constitutional law through the Privacy and Law Enforcement, Data and Privacy Law, and National Security Law courses.
Outside of work, Christianna enjoys mentoring emerging leaders in law and public policy and attending events with the Literary Collective Book Club.
