Megan O’Halloran

Megan O’Halloran first crossed paths with Issue One in July 2023 working as an independent contractor. In September 2024, she transitioned to her role as a Technology Reform Associate. Prior to her time at Issue One, she was a freelancer for various organizations in the responsible technology space, including Arclet, a health communications start-up, the Center for Humane Technology, and the Brown Information Futures Lab. In 2022, she served as an English Teaching Assistant in Madrid.

Megan is passionate about minimizing disinformation and harmful features on social media platforms to deepen shared understanding and human connection. Megan graduated from Western Carolina University with her Bachelor’s degree in International Studies, Spanish, and Communications.
