Isabela Sullivan is a Policy & Research Associate at Issue One, where she supports the organization’s efforts to strengthen U.S. democracy through research, analysis, and policy development across technology reform, election protection, money in politics, and constitutional defense. Her work focuses on translating complex legislative, regulatory, and political developments into clear, actionable insights that inform Issue One’s advocacy and policy strategy.
Prior to joining Issue One, she worked in the U.S. House of Representatives, supporting constituent services and policy communications, and interned with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Organization Affairs, where she contributed to human rights and multilateral policy work. She also served as a Junior Data Analyst at the Media Ecosystem Observatory, analyzing cross-platform social media data to better understand the evolving media environment.
Most recently, as Executive Director of a NGO in consultative status with the United Nations, she led a global team, coordinated youth engagement in United Nations processes, contributed to negotiations with Canada’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations, and delivered formal remarks at the United Nations on the governance and ethics of artificial intelligence.
She holds a BA in International Development from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Outside of her work, she enjoys going to the farmers markets and listening to live music.
