Issue One stands with the Ukrainian people

We are democracy advocates, and as our allies at Freedom House reported last week, democracy has entered its 16th year of recession across the globe. American democracy is no exception. It’s facing its greatest challenges in more than a generation — challenges we work to answer every day. That’s why we stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and all who are fighting to defend democracy and freedom against Vladimir Putin and his forces of darkness and authoritarianism.
